Home made Recipes!!!

Yam (Karna Kelangu)/ potato  Kurma
Ingredients: 
3 big potatoes,  1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 2 small onions, 1 or 2 small tomatoes, 2 green chillies, curry leaves, salt to taste, ginger garlic paste (1/2 tsp)
pinch of turmeric, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, coriander powder & garam masala, finely chopped coriander
leaves, 1 tbsp oil.
Method:
Cook the potatoes with turmeric & salt, mash and keep aside. Saute Cumin seeds, curry leaves, onions, chillies, tomatoes & ginger garlic paste in oil. Add to this, boiled & mashed potatoes. Add the dry masalas. Add water for required consistency. Let it cook for a while till the gravy becomes thick. Garnish it with chopped coriander & serve hot with chapattis or pooris. 


Methi (Fenugreek leaves) ki Roti
Ingredients: Atta/ wheat flour (1 cup), water (as required for the dough), fenugreek leaves (finely chopped), salt,  ajvain/ ommam seeds (condiments), pinch of asafoetida, oil.
Method: Mix all ingredients together to make the dough. Divide the dough into small round balls, flatten it with the chappathi roller and fry it on the pan.
Serve the Rotis with curd or pickle.
